QuickMask settings

QuickMask can be a valuable tool but I find that its default setting is totally arse about face. Some people have probably been using QuickMask with the default settings for a long time, cursing every time they exit and have to inverse the selection. Well in one quick easy step this can be rectified…

Double click on the QuickMask icon at the foot of the tool bar and in the dialogue box select “Selected Areas” in the color indicates box as below.

Now when you paint in QuickMask mode the areas with colour will be selected once you exit. Don’t forget to use the keyboard shortcut ‘Q’ to enter and exit QuickMask too!!
